Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs have avoided each other in the semi-finals of the Nedbank Cup following a draw, which was conducted at the Chatsworth Stadium in Durban on Sunday evening.

The Buccaneers, who defeated SuperSport United 5-4 on penalties in Polokwane on Saturday, face Marumo Gallants in the semi-finals.

Gallants reached the last four after they defeated Motsepe Foundation Championship (MFC) side Durban City 4-1 on penalties at the Chatsworth Stadium on Sunday. This encounter was decided on spot kicks after the two sides had played to a goalless draw in two hours of football.

On the other hand, Chiefs are going to play against the winner of the Mamelodi Sundowns-Sekhukhune United match, which is yet to be played.

Amakhosi defeated Stellenbosch FC 3-1 in Gqeberha on Saturday evening while the Sundowns-Sekhukhune match was postponed after the Premier Soccer League (PSL) discovered that the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville west of Pretoria was doubled booked on Saturday.
