Bafana Bafana moved to the top of Group C after they edged out Lesotho 2-0 in a 2026 World Cup qualifier at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Friday evening.

After a goalless first half, Bafana had other ideas in the second stanza as Relebohile Mofokeng gave them the lead in the 60th minute following a pass from Elias Mokwana.

Four minutes later, the South Africans increased their lead through a goal from Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Jayden Adams.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Super Eagles defeated Rwanda 2-0 through Victor Osimhen’s brace away in another Group C World Cup qualifier.
