Athenkosi Thongwana won the interim Eastern Cape junior-flyweight title at the Folli Hall in Makhanda on Friday.
This followed after Thongwana from Duncan Village stopped Mdantsane’s Akhona Msindeli in the fourth round in the main bout.
On the other hand, Mdantsane-born Anam Xuza registered a second round technical knockout victory over Owam Dyani from Kuni village in the main supporting bout.
