Bafana Bafana continued with their winning ways as they beat Benin 2-0 in a 2026 FIFA World Cup Group C qualifier at Abidjan’s Félix Houphouët Boigny Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Lyle Foster gave Bafana the lead in the 53rd minute following a pass from Fawaaz Basadien. This was Foster’s seventh goal in a Bafana shirt.
And Jayden Adams scored his second goal in two successive matches as he made it 2-0 from an Oswin Appollis assist six minutes before full-time. Adams was one of the scorers when Bafana defeated Lesotho 2-0 in Polokwane on Friday evening.
Meanwhile, in other Group C matches, Lesotho held Rwanda to a 1-1 draw and the Nigeria Super Eagles also drew 1-1 with Zimbabwe’s Warriors.
