Azinga ‘Golden Boy’ Fuzile and his handlers sighed with relief after he finally secured a Kazakhstan visa following a back and forth between his camp and Kazakh authorities.
Now Fuzile is set to leave for Kazakhstan ahead of his World Boxing Association (WBA) Continental junior-lightweight title contest title fight against Sultan Zaurbek.
This shootout between the 28-year-old Fuzile and Zaurbek is scheduled to be held at Barys Arena in Astana, Kazakhstan, on Saturday next week.
Fuzile leaves this weekend together with Zolani Tete and Lonwabo Witbooi while his manager Mlandeli Tengimfene and Xolani Mampunye from Last Born Boxing Promotions will only leave on Monday next week.
“We have secured the visas. Azinga leaves this weekend together with Zolani and Lonkie,” Tengimfene confirmed.
Tengimfene and Mampunye’s departure is going to be delayed because of Last Born Boxing Promotions’ tournament on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Zaurbek, a southpaw just like Fuzile, is a formidable opponent, who has stopped 13 of his 19 victims. The 28-year-old Zaurbek will be fighting in his homeland for the first time since December 2021. – Monwabisi Jimlongo
