There were joyous scenes at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Wednesday evening after Orlando Pirates advanced to the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League.

Wednesday’s match ended in a goalless draw with the Soweto giants winning the quarter-final clash 1-0 on aggregate having beaten the Algerians in Algiers, Algeria, last week.

The win meant that the Buccaneers set up a date with Egyptian side Pyramids FC in the semi-finals next week. The first leg games of the semi-finals will be played on 18 and 19 April while the second leg matches are scheduled to be played on 25 and 26 April.
