Motsepe Foundation Championship (MFC) log-leaders Durban City announced the passing away of their midfielder Sinamandla ‘Sgora’ Zondi on Tuesday evening.
Zondi collapsed during a warm-up before the beginning of the MFC match against Milford FC at the Chatsworth Stadium in Durban on Tuesday evening and was rushed to hospital where he sadly passed away.
The 22-year-old Zondi’s collapse resulted in the abandonment of the MFC game with Milford leading 1-0 at the time.
