Just a few days after they defeated Kaizer Chiefs in the Soweto derby, Orlando Pirates bagged maximum points following a 2-1 win over Lamontville Golden Arrows in a Betway Premiership match at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Tuesday evening.
After a goalless first half, the Buccaneers scored through Patrick Maswanganyi following an assist from Kabelo Dlamini seven minutes into the second stanza.
Seven minutes later, Siyanda Mthanti gave Abafana Bes’thende some hope of salvaging something from the match when he scored the equaliser.
The Buccaneers restored their lead with a beautiful goal from Tshegofatso Mabasa after he was fed by Mbekezeli Mbokazi in the 73rd minute.
