The South African Under-20 national team reached the final of the Africa Cup of Nations Under-20 tournament after they beat their Nigerian counterparts 1-0 at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia, Egypt, on Thursday evening.
Tylon Smith’s 66th minute goal sent the Nigerians, who are the record seven-time champions, crashing out of the tournament.
And this is the first time that the South African Under-20 national side reached the AFCON final since 1997.
