Spaniard José Riveiro was finally unveiled as the new coach of Egypt’s most successful club Al Ahly on Thursday evening.
The 49-year-old Riveiro has signed a two-year contract with the Egyptian giants. Vigo-born Riveiro joined the Red Devils just two weeks after leaving Orlando Pirates.
Riveiro left Pirates just a few days after they lost to Kaizer Chiefs in a Nedbank Cup final match at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
Riveiro’s back room staff consists of assistant coach Carlos Nodar, physical trainer Miguel Pepeira, goalkeeper coach Juan Jose, performance analyst Sebastian Podsiadly and general coach Emad El Nahhas.
