With high hopes of advancing to the next round of the WBC Grand Prix, Ntethelelo ‘Baby G’ Nkosi and his team will leave on Tuesday next week as they go seek glory in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Nkosi, a former South African junior-welterweight champion, has a date with Ju Wu from China in the last-16 of the WBC Grand Prix at the Global Theatre Boulevard Riyadh City in Riyadh on Friday next week.

Mtubatuba-born Nkosi moved to the second round of the competition after he stopped Egyptian boxer Marwan Mohamad Madboly in the third round in April.

“We are going to leave for Saudi Arabia on the 17th of June,” Nkosi, who has eight wins with five knockouts and two defeats, said.

While Nkosi stopped Madboly, the 25-year-old Wu, who is the current WBC Far East junior-welterweight champion, reached the second round of the competition after he defeated Spaniard Jokin Garcia on points in April.
