South African boxer Ntethelelo ‘Baby G’ Nkosi has reached the last eight of the WBC Grand Prix after he outpointed Chinese Ju Wu at the Global Theatre Boulevard Riyadh City in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Friday.
This was an explosive fight with both boxers giving their all, but it was the former South African junior-welterweight champion’s hand, which was raised after the end of the six rounds affair.
Mtubatuba-born Nkosi, who is trained by Damien Durandt in Johannesburg, relinquished the SA junior-welterweight title three months ago in favour of taking part in the WBC Grand Prix.
