Botswana national Kagiso Bagwasi stole the show as he stopped South African boxer Boyd Allen in the sixth round to claim the vacant IBO All-Africa junior-middleweight title at The Galleria in Sandton, Johannesburg, on Saturday evening.
A left hand, which sent Allen crashing to the canvas, was all it took to end the bout as the South African was counted out by fight referee Tony Nyangiwe.
It became clear from the third round that Bagwasi was up to something as his punches landed easily on Allen. It was then no surprise when the fight ended in the sixth round.
Meanwhile, Kaine Fourie redeemed himself as he beat Sifiso Hlongwane by a fifth round technical knockout just over three months since he suffered a first round stoppage loss to Zambian Simon Ngoma.
Fourie decked Hlongwane early in the fifth round forcing referee Ben Ncapai waved the bout off.
