It was goals galore as German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund beat Mamelodi Sundowns 4-3 in a FIFA Club World Cup match at the TQL Stadium in Cincinnati, United States of America (USA), on Saturday evening, South African time.

The Brazilians shot to the lead through Brazilian Lucas Ribeiro Costa’s goal in the 11th minute.

It only took Dortmund five minutes to equalise as Felix Kalu Nmecha beat Sundowns goalkeeper Ronwen Williams.

The Germans took the lead for the first time when Serhou Guirassy netted in the 34th minute. Jobe Bellingham made it 3-1 after he capitalised on the Brazilians’ defence on the stroke of half-time.

Dortmund increased their lead following Khuliso Mudau’s own goal 14 minutes into the second half.

But the Tshwane giants never gave up despite trailing by three goals. Their efforts were rewarded with goals from Iqraam Rayners in the 62nd minute and Lebogang Mothiba’s strike at the death.
