Fresh from notching his second victory in the paid ranks, Sanele ‘V16’ Sogcwayi has lined up yet another fight as he’s going to face off against Eric Zwane from Durban.

Mdantsane-born Sogcwayi clashes with Zwane in a six rounds featherweight bout at the Cabo Beach, V and A Waterfront, Cape Town, on Saturday, 2 August.

Sogcwayi, who is trained by former South African flyweight champion Ncedo Cecane, outpointed Siphesihle Nkomo at the Emperor’s Palace in Kempton Park, Ekurhuleni, last month.

And the news of Sogcwayi’s third fight of the year was confirmed by his manager Thembelani ‘Shakes’ Hlombe.

Sogcwayi has won all his two fights with one of those victories coming from a stoppage and Zwane lost on debut, but made amends when he won his next two fights by knockout.

Unbeaten Western Cape junior-featherweight champion Kaya Mlata will be back in action as he squares up against Saul Hlungwani in a six rounds bout while former SA middleweight titlist John Bopape is scheduled to face Dylan Prosser in an eight rounds super-middleweight bout.

Mlata defeated Sabelo Ngebiyane in Cape Town in April while Bopape lost his SA middleweight crown to Phikelelani Khumalo in Durban three months ago.
