The position of chief financial officer at Boxing South Africa (BSA) is not vacant anymore following the confirmation of the appointment of Betram Moses.

The new CFO is a seasoned practitioner, who has more than 30 years experience in the financial sector. Moses, who started working at BSA in June, held senior positions at Multichoice, M-Net and Hitachi Construction Machinery Africa (Pty) Ltd.

“Mr Moses is a key addition to the Boxing South Africa management team. His appointment is part of a move to create stability and strengthen good governance in the organisation,” a BSA statement said on Tuesday.

“Mr Moses is already at home at Boxing SA having started on the 6th of June, just as the auditing process of the Boxing South Africa financial statements for 2024/2025 by Auditor-General commences. His first major task is naturally to oversee this audit process and to guarantee Boxing SA the best audit outcome from this process.”

Prior to Moses’ appointment, BSA didn’t have a permanent CFO since the killing of Kenneth Mamosadi, who was gunned down in his driveway at his Pretoria West home early last year.

Mamosadi had only been a BSA CFO since March 2023 having succeeded Thabang Moses, who resigned in May 2022.
