A new leadership for the Gauteng Boxing Promoters Association (GBPA) was elected in Booysens, Johannesburg, on Saturday.
Sandile Xaka from Supreme Boxing Promotions was elected as chairperson of the GBPA and Mapule Matlala is the deputy chairperson while Leandra Beyers is the new secretary of the provincial association and Phumudzo Ramabulana is her deputy with Larry Wainstein being the treasurer.
The previous GBPA executive was disbanded by the National Professional Boxing Promoters Association (NPBPA) in 2022.
