Chippa United and Mamelodi Sundowns played to a 1-1 draw in a Betway Premiership opening match at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha on Saturday afternoon.
After playing for half an hour, Sundowns shot to the lead when Arthur Sales netted in the 31st minute.
The Chilli Boys equalised through Khaya Mfecane, who joined the team from Cape Town Spurs, in the 65th minute.
