The last 17 minutes of the match between Magesi FC and Mamelodi Sundowns were very productive for the defending Betway Premiership champions as they defeated the Limpopo side 2-0 at the Seshego Stadium in Polokwane on Wednesday evening.
Following a goalless first half, the Brazilians finally scored in the 73rd minute through Jayden Adams. And Namibian international Peter Shalulile made it 2-0 three minutes before full-time following a pass from Tashrique Matthews to give the Tshwane giants their second win in three matches.
Shalulile has now equalled the PSL’s all-time record of 129 goals scored by former Moroka Swallows, Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs striker Siyabonga Nomvethe.
Elsewere, Pirates registered their first win of the campaign following a 1-0 victories over Stellenbosch FC at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto while AmaZulu beat Marumo Gallants 1-0 at the Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu, Durban.
