Bafana Bafana forward Lyle Foster reckons that the Nigerian Super Eagles are under pressure going to Tuesday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier in Bloemfontein.
Coach Hugo Broos’ men, who have collected 16 points from seven matches, welcome the Nigerians at the Free State Stadium with the match starting at 18h00.
“I don’t necessarily think there’s pressure on us. I think at the moment we are where we are in the group and that’s a positive,” Foster said.
“I think pressure is on the guys who are trying to get to us, but that doesn’t mean we should take our foot off the gas or take our foot off the pedal.”
The 25-year-old Burnley striker was one of the scorers when Bafana clobbered Lesotho’s Likuena in another World Cup qualifier at the same Bloemfontein venue.
Meanwhile, the Super Eagles are third in Group C after collecting 10 points from seven games.
