Orlando Pirates made history when they won the MTN8 trophy for a fourth successive time after they trounced Stellenbosch FC 3-0 at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on Saturday evening.
Following a goalless draw in regulation time, substitute Tshepang Moremi opened the scoring for the Buccaneers in the 92nd minute.
Moremi, who joined the Soweto side before the beginning of the season, beat Stellies goalkeeper Sage Stephens following a pass from Oswin Appollis. Moremi had entered the fray after he replaced Thabiso Lebitso in the 74th minute.
After scoring the opening goal, Moremi turned provider when he crossed to Tshegofatso Mabasa for him to score for the Buccaneers in the 103rd minute.
Moremi, formerly with AmaZulu, was not done yet as he completed his brace in the 110th minute following yet another pass from Appollis.
