Unbeaten Japanese boxer Naoya ‘Monster’ Inoue scored a unanimous points decision victory over Murodjon Akhmadaliev from Uzbekistan at the IG Arena in Nagoya, Japan, on Sunday.

Following the win, the 32-year-old Inoue retained his World Boxing Council (WBC), International Boxing Federation (IBF) and World Boxing Organisation (WBO) junior-featherweight titles.

With the judges scoring the bout 117-111 and 118-110 twice, Inoue improved his professional record to 31 wins and 27 knockouts.

The 30-year-old Akhmadaliev, who is based in California, United States of America (USA), dropped to 14 victories with 11 stoppages and two losses.
