It seems like an hour is a very long time in South African boxing as Aphiwe Boyiya and his adversary Sibusiso Zingange can attest to that.
After their vacant South African junior-welterweight title fight was postponed a number of times, the clash is now going ahead as it was originally planned.
Boyiya and Zingange will face off at the Sun City Superbowl in Rustenburg, North West, this coming Saturday much to the joy of TLB Boxing Promotions boss Joyce Kungwane.
Initially, the bout was l scheduled for Saturday, 26 July, but got postponed to Saturday, 27 September. It was then switched to this coming Saturday, not Turffontein Race Course in Johannesburg as it was earlier revealed on Tuesday.
The SA junior-welterweight title became vacant after former champion Ntethelelo Nkosi relinquished it to pursue glory in the WBC Grand Prix in Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, Boyiya will be chasing his third SA title as he is a former national featherweight and junior-lightweight champion.
On the other hand, Zingange will go out to win his second national title having been an SA junior-lightweight titlist.
