Kaizer Chiefs dumped Kabuscorp from Angola out of the CAF Confederation Cup after they beat them 5-4 on penalties in the second leg of the preliminary round at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec, Johannesburg, on Saturday afternoon.
After losing by an odd goal in Angola last weekend, Amakhosi turned the tables on the Angolans, defeating them 1-0 through Glody Makabi Lilepo’s strike in the 41st minute.
With the two sides tied at 1-1 on aggregate at the end of regulation time, the match had to be decided on spot kicks with Chiefs converting five penalties compared to Kabuscorp’s four.
