Marumo Gallants have joined Orlando Pirates, Durban City, TS Galaxy and Lamontville Golden Arrows in the quarter-finals of the Carling Knockout.
This came after Gallants bundled Mamelodi Sundowns out of the competition at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville west of Pretoria on Saturday evening.
Gallants defeated the Tshwane giants 7-6 following a marathon penalty shootout. This match was decided on spot kicks after the two sides had drawn goalless in 120 minutes.
