Orlando Pirates forward Evidence Makgopa has been called up to the Bafana Bafana squad replacing Iqraam Rayners.
The Mamelodi Sundowns striker was withdrawn from the Bafana camp due to medical reasons and was released back to his club on Tuesday morning.
Rayners is the second player to be withdrawn from the Bafana squad. Pirates’ Relebohile Mofokeng was withdrawn from the team on Monday and as replaced by Mduduzi Shabalala from Kaizer Chiefs.
Meanwhile, Bafana clash against Zimbabwe in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Friday.
Four days later, Bafana will face off against Rwanda in another World Cup qualifier at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit.
