Asanele Velebayi and Luke Baartman are now eligible to play for Kaizer Chiefs after they were declared free agents on Wednesday morning.
Hilton Epstein, the South African Football Association (SAFA) arbitrator, cleared the two players following a case which involved their former club Cape Town Spurs and Amakhosi.
Spurs, who were relegated from the Motsepe Foundation Championship (MFC) to the ABC Motsepe League last season, have been ordered to issue the players’ clearance certificates.
