A fight which was due to have taken place six months ago is on the cards yet again as Snamiso Ntuli is scheduled to take on Namibian Paulinus Ndjolonimus on Saturday, 8 November.

Ntuli and Ndjolonimus are due to face off in a vacant World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Africa super-middleweight title fight at the Windhoek Country Club Resort in Namibia.

The two boxers’ fight fell off at the last minute in April after Ndjolonimus couldn’t make it to the weigh-in owing to a bout of flu.

“Hopefully, this fight is going to take place. That’s all I’m hoping for,” Ladysmith-born Ntuli said.

Ntuli stopped Zimbabwean boxer Thembani Mhlanga in the second round during their fight in August and Ndjolonimus lost to German opponent Simon Zachenhuber in Germany three months ago.

Meanwhile, Ntuli’s fight against Ndjolonimus is the main supporting bout to the clash between Namibian Mateus Heita and Clement Leko from Benin.

Heita, who lost to Bruce Carrington in New York, United States of America (USA) in July, will face Leko in a vacant WBO Africa featherweight title fight. – Monwabisi Jimlongo
