Asekho Nocele dished out a polished performance as he outpointed a tough Saul Hlungwani at the Cabo Beach Club, V and A Waterfront, in Cape Town on Saturday evening.

All three judges had Nocele winning by 100-90 on their scorecards and as a result of the win, the Mthatha-born boxer retained his World Boxing Federation (WBF) International bantamweight title.

In the same bill, featherweight boxer Sanele ‘V16’ Sogcwayi continued with his impressive run as he registered a split points decision victory over veteran boxer Sabelo Ngebiyane in an all-Eastern Cape bout.

Mdantsane-born Sogcwayi, who made his professional debut in March this year, has won all his four fights, with two of those wins coming from stoppages.
