Snamiso Ntuli is ready to make up for lost time as he clashes with Namibian boxer Paulinus Ndjolonimus in a fight which was due to have taken place seven months ago.

Ntuli and Ndjolonimus face off in a vacant World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Africa super-middleweight title contest at the Windhoek Country Club Resort in Namibia on Saturday.

“I’m ready for the fight and I have no fear. I have had good preparations for this fight and I’m confident that I’m going to win,” Ntuli said.

The two boxers’ fight, which was set for April fell off at the last minute after Ndjolonimus couldn’t make it to the weigh-in owing to a bout of flu.

Now Ntuli will go to Saturday’s fight following a second round stoppage win over Zimbabwean boxer Thembani Mhlanga in August while Ndjolonimus lost to German opponent Simon Zachenhuber in Germany four months ago.

Meanwhile, Ntuli’s fight against Ndjolonimus is the main supporting bout to the clash between Namibian Mateus Heita and Clement Leko from Benin.

Heita, who lost to Bruce Carrington in New York, United States of America (USA) in July, will face Leko in a vacant WBO Africa featherweight title fight. – Monwabisi Jimlongo
