Bafana Bafana’s preparations for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations tournament are well underway as they whipped Zambia’s Chipolopolo 3-1 in an international friendly match at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha on Saturday afternoon.

Oswin Appollis set the tone for Bafana’s victory when he scored their first goal following a nice pass from his Orlando Pirates teammate Sipho Mbule two minutes before half-time break.

Mohau Nkota, who entered the fray in the second half, made it 2-0 in the 62nd minute after yet another assist from Mbule. Six minutes later,  Sphephelo Sithole netted Bafana’s third goal of the match off a Nkota assist.

Just as football followers thought the Zambians were not going yo score, they pulled one back through Sabobo Banda in referee’s added time.
