After being on the sidelines for more than a year, Sivenathi ‘Special One’ Nontshinga returned to action and didn’t sweat much as he stopped Tanzanian boxer Sunday Kiwale in the second round at the Box Camp Booysens in Johannesburg on Saturday evening.

Nontshinga, who won the International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior-flyweight title twice, dropped Kiwale in the second round and the Tanzanian showed no interest of continuing with the fight as referee Ben Ncapai counted him.

This was Nontshinga’s first fight since losing his IBF junior-flyweight title to Japanese boxer Masamichi Yabuki via a ninth round stoppage in October last year.

Meanwhile, Sikho Nqothole from Mthatha registered a third round technical knockout win over another Tanzanian opponent Khalid Kalama Ally.

Highly-rated Mthatha-born flyweight boxer Frank Sotomela defeated Trevor Nghonyama by a second round stoppage.

Sabelo Cebekhulu defeated Sinenkosi Mlotshwa by a fourth round technical knockout with Jason Medi beating Azizi Mponda via a second round TKO.

Amos Mphanda defeated Wezi Chirwa by a fourth round TKO and Moses Kalegui beat Thuso Khorommbi via a first round TKO. And Hamza Hassim defeated Silverdor Vanicela on points.
