Orlando Pirates confirmed on Monday afternoon that their striker Tshegofatso Mabasa had moved to Cape Winelands side Stellenbosch FC on loan until the end of the current term.
The 29-year-old Mabasa, formerly with Swallows FC and Bloemfontein Celtic, has struggled for game time since Abdeslam Ouaddou took over as Pirates coach this season.
“Orlando Pirates Football Club can confirm the move of striker Tshegofatso Mabasa to Stellenbosch FC,” the Buccaneers said in a statement on Monday.
Mabasa left the Buccaneers having scored 50 goals and six assists in 141 matches. Mabasa is only eight goals aay from equalling Benedict Vilakazi’s Pirates record.
