Mamelodi Sundowns were held to a 2-2 draw by Sudanese side Al Hilal in a CAF Champions League group stage match at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Friday evening.
The Sudanese shocked the Tshwane giants when they shot to the lead through Abdelrazig Omer, who beat Brazilians goalkeeper Ronwen Williams in the 15th minute.
The Brazilians equalised six minutes later through Arthur Sales’ goal. And Sundowns led for the first time during the match with Teboho Mokoena’s screamer in the 64th minute.
However, Sundowns’ lead only stayed for seven minutes as Abdelrazig completed his brace when he levelled matters for the Sudanese.
