Sekhukhune United reached the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup after they beat Motsepe Foundation Championship (MFC) side University of Pretoria 1-0 at the Tuks Stadium in Pretoria on Sunday afternoon.
Having failed to score in the first half, Babina Noko netted through 22-year-old Vuyo Letlapa 10 minutes into the second stanza. This was Letlapa’s first ever goal in the professional ranks.
Meanwhile, Jacksa Spears defeated Vasco da Gama 1-0 with Milford FC whipping Mkhambathi FC 3-0 in another Nedbank Cup last-16 match played on Sunday.
