Unfortunate circumstances have forced Koos Sibiya to pull out of his African Boxing Union (ABU) junior-lightweight fight against Anthony Maloisane in Maokeng, Kroonstad, on Saturday evening.
This was announced by Dream Team Promotions boss Lebo Mahoko, who revealed that the Maloisane will now fight against Malawian boxer Romeo Makwakwa.
‘‘Due to unfortunate circumstances Koos Sibiya had to pull out of the tournament scheduled for Kroonstad on Saturday, 12 December 2020.
Koos was replaced by Malawian Romeo Makwakwa,’’ said Mahoko.
This is going to be the second time Makwakwa and Maloisane meet in 17 months. Makwakwa beat Maloisane by a stoppage when they met for the first time at Thabo Vuyo School in Rouxville, Free State, in July 2019.
