Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs are through to the group stages of the CAF Champions League.
Sundowns beat Botswana side Jwaneng Galaxy 3-1 in the second leg of the CAF Champions League’s preliminary stage at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Tuesday evening
The Brazilians won 5-1 on aggregate after they had beaten Jwaneng 2-0 in the first leg played in Lobatse, Botswana, in December.
Kermit Erasmus, Mothobi Mvala and Thapelo Morena scored for the Brazilians while Jwaneng’s goal came from Tebogo Sembowa.
Meanwhile, Amakhosi defied all the odds and beat Angolan side Primero de Agosto 1-0 in Luanda, Angola, through a Leonardo Castro goal.
The two sides played to a goalless draw in the first leg match held at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec, Johannesburg, in December.
