Kaizer Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt is still not satisfied with how Amakhosi play despite trouncing Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila 3-0 at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec on Tuesday evening.
Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Lebogang Manyama and Happy Mashiane scored for Amakhosi.
However, Hunt reckons that his players were not in their best form even though they dominated during the match.
“We looked a little bit heavy. But the most important thing was to get results. We scored good goals other than that we were sloppy,” Hunt said.
The fact that young players Ngcobo and Mashiane are scoring goals augurs well for Chiefs. Both players also scored when Chiefs beat Cape Town City 2-1 last Saturday.
“Any successful football team will have a transition from young to old, old to young. We need to get the balance right,” Hunt said.
TTM have now lost four of their last five matches and conceded 11 goals in the process.
“It was a game wherein we knew Chiefs’ strengths. We tried to stop them from scoring an early goal. In the 19th minute they unfortunately scored the goal,” TTM coach Joel Masutha said.
“Poor form is a big, big concern. Look at what happened in 2020, we won one, lost one and drew five. We are trying to bring in new players every week.”
