Swallows FC’s unbeaten streak continued when they played to a 1-1 draw with Chippa United in a DStv Premiership match at the Dobsonville Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Ruzaigh Gamildien scored his ninth goal of the season in the 11th minute giving Swallows a 1-0 lead, which they held on to until the 75th minute.
The Chilli Boys equalised through second half substitute Kurt Lentjies 15 minutes from full-time. Lentjies had only been on the field for 14 minutes after he had replaced an injured Nyiko Mobbie in the 61st minute.
Five minutes earlier the Chilli Boys thought they had scored through Andile Mbenyane, but the referee ruled that the ball didn’t cross the line.
Swallows have won seven matches and drawn five while the Chilli Boys have won twice, drawn four times and lost six matches.
