Kearyn Baccus is yet to recover from the pain caused by Baroka FC to Kaizer Chiefs last season.
Bakgaga Ba Mphahlele inflicted a painful wound to Chiefs when they held them to a 1-1 draw on the last and important day of the 2019/2020 season.
The draw robbed Amakhosi of an opportunity to lift the league title, which was eventually won by Mamelodi Sundowns.
Now Durban-born Baccus wants Chiefs to win when they face Bakgaga at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec on Tuesday (17h00).
“It was disappointing in the last game. We will take disappointment and hurt going to the game. Hopefully, we will get a win,” the Chiefs midfielder said.
The 29-year-old Baccus is satisfied with his performance so far this season even though he has insisted that team effort matters the most to him.
“I’m getting a bit more confident now. I think the boys are starting to get to gear, which is good. It’s not about individual performances, it’s about the team as a collective. I’m happy we are getting the results now,” the Australian said.
Amakhosi, who are seventh on the DStv Premiership table, have done well lately collecting 10 points from their last four matches.
