Swallows FC maintained their unbeaten run when they held Cape Town City to a 1-1 draw in a DStv Premiership match played at the Cape Town Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
This was the Dube Birds’ fifth straight draw while it was the Citizens’ first point in three matches after losing their last two games before meeting Swallows.
The Soweto side took the lead in the 13th minute through Kgaogelo Sekgota, who netted his first league goal this season. The Citizens levelled matters in the 32nd minute when Mduduzi Mdantsane converted from the penalty spot after trusted Swallows defender Njabulo Ngcobo had fouled him inside the box. Mdantsane has now scored nine league goals.
