Mamelodi Sundowns president and CAF presidential candidate Patrice Motsepe is set to launch his campaign in Johannesburg on Thursday.
Motsepe is in buoyant mood after the Council of Southern African Football Associations (COSAFA) endorsed his candidature at its annual general meeting held in Johannesburg over the weekend.
The Sundowns boss is facing stiff competition from Ahmed Yahya from Mauritania, Senegalese Augustin Senghor and Jacques Anouma from Ivory Coast, who are also vying for the top position in African football.
The much-awaited CAF elections are going to be held in Morocco on Friday, 12 March.
