Knockout artist Sivenathi ‘Special One’ Nontshinga’s pre-fight talk ahead of his clash against Filipino boxer Christian ‘The Bomb’ Araneta seems to have rubbed up the Filipinos the wrong way.
Araneta and his trainer Julius Erving Junco are now talking non-stop in the build-up to the Filipino boxer’s fight against Nontshinga in an International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior-flyweight elimination bout at the Boardwalk Hotel and Casino in Gqeberha on Sunday, 25 April.
A few days ago, Nontshinga said: “All I can say is I am going to knock him out. He has been knocked down before. So what is going to stop me from knocking him out?”
This prompted Araneta and Junco to hit back saying they want Nontshinga to match his talk with action.
“For me, actions speak louder than words. What I can say is that let’s see if he can do what he says he will do. I will give him a good fight. I am very determined because this is my second chance,” Araneta told Cebu Daily News Digital.
Speaking to Cebu Daily News Digital, Junco said: “He said he will knock Araneta. It is very easy to say but very difficult to do. My boxer is class A. Sive fought class B fighters. There is a difference to it. I believe Araneta is in another level.”
