Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila dumped Black Leopards out of the Nedbank Cup after they beat them 2-0 in a quarter-final match played at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Sunday evening.
Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo gave Vhadau Vha Damani the lead in the 38th minute following a solo run and Alfred Ndengane put matters beyond Lidoda Duvha’s reach when he scored from the penalty spot in the 83rd minute.
The penalty came after Leopards defender Edwin Gyimah had fouled TTM striker Lerato Lamola inside the box. Match referee Siyabulela Qunta didn’t hesitate and pointed to the penalty slot.
TTM have joined Chippa United and Pretoria Callies in the last four. The Chilli Boys beat Richards Bay FC 2-1 in Mdantsane on Saturday and Callies defeated Cape Town All Stars 5-4 on penalties in Stellenbosch on Sunday.
Meanwhile, TTM are going to face either Mamelodi Sundowns or Orlando Pirates in the semi-finals. Sundowns and Pirates are going to play their quarter-final match on Thursday, 15 April. On the other hand, the Romans have been drawn at home against the Chilli Boys.
