It was a nail-biting finish as Pakistan beat the Proteas by three wickets in the first one day international (ODI) played in Centurion on Friday
Pakistan captain Babar Azam knocked 103 runs off 104 deliveries to help his team score 274 for seven in 50 overs. The Pakistanis were responding to the Proteas’ 273 for six in their allocated 50 overs. This was Pakistan’s seventh win in Centurion in 11 matches while it was the Proteas’ 14th loss in 41 games.
Proteas batsman Rassie van der Dussen scored his maiden century reaching 100 after facing 123 balls. Van der Dussen top scored with 123 runs off 134 balls.
The second ODI is going to be played at the Wanderers in Johannesburg at 10am on Sunday.
