Cape Town City coach Jan Olde Riekering believes that the Citizens can avenge their first round loss to SuperSport United.
Matsatsantsa a Pitori beat the Citizens 2-1 in Atteridgeville in February and Riekering wants to turn the tables over the Tshwane side when they meet in a DStv Premiership match at the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday (15h00).
“SuperSport have the same problems as we have. We will play a good game. We have fantastic players. I believe in the way we are and the way we do things. I have belief in the quality of our players,” Riekering said.
Riekering’s Citizens score goals as much as they leak them. The fact that they have scored 30 goals and leaked 29 in 21 matches bears testimony to that.
Meanwhile, Matsatsantsa captain Ronwen Williams reckons that they can beat the Citizens again even though he has admitted that it’s not going to be easy.
“Another tough opponent, especially at home. They play good football and they believe in what they do. We beat them two months ago and we can do it again. It’s gonna be a challenge, we know what to do,” Williams said.
