AmaZulu won their sixth successive match when they beat Stellenbosch FC 1-0 in a DStv Premiership match at the Danie Craven Stadium in Stellenbosch on Friday evening.
Thabo Qalinge, who joined Usuthu recently, scored for the Durban club on the stroke of full time. That was Qalinge’s first league goal this season and it was also his first strike since joining Usuthu.
As a result of the win, Usuthu have moved to second place on the Premiership standings with 40 points from 11 wins, seven draws and four defeats. On the other hand, Stellies are 11th with 23 points having won five times, drawn eight and lost nine.
