Cape Town City have put their Dutch coach Jan Olde Riekerink on an administrative leave.
The Citizens also announced that the club’s assistant coach Diogo Peral is now in charge until further notice.
It looks like the Citizens’ 5-1 trouncing at home by league title contenders AmaZulu and a 1-0 loss to TS Galaxy on Saturday didn’t go down well with the Cape side’s hierarchy.
The Citizens are seventh on the DStv Premiership table with 36 points from 26 matches. They have scored the most goals – 39 – and conceded 36.
