A merciless Kaizer Chiefs massacred Tanzanian club Simba SC 4-0 in a first leg CAF Champions League quarter-final encounter at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec on Saturday evening.
Amakhosi showed their intentions as early as the sixth minute when lanky defender Mulomowandau Mathoho put them ahead.
Serbian-born striker Samir Nurkovic made it 2-0 in the 34th minute to give Chiefs a comfortable lead at half time. Nurkovic completed his brace in the 57th minute.
Leonardo Castro put the matter beyond Simba’s reach when he netted Chiefs’ fourth goal in the 63rd minute.
The two sides are going to meet again in the second leg in Tanzania on Saturday next week.
