The arrival of world title contender Azinga ‘Golden Boy’ Fuzile and his handlers has been delayed from morning to afternoon on Tuesday.
Fuzile, his promoter Teris Ntutu from Rumble Africa Promotions (RAP) and his trainer Mzamo ‘Chief’ Njekanye were delayed enroute to South Africa from the United States.
Fuzile, Ntutu and Njekanye are expected to land at King Phalo Airport in East London at 15h00.
The former South African featherweight champion stopped Briton Martin Ward in the seventh round during their international Boxing Federation (IBF) junior-lightweight eliminator at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, US, on Saturday evening (Sunday morning SA time).
The win has earned Fuzile the right to challenge for the IBF junior-lightweight title, which is vacant now.
The vacant title is going to be contested by Tajikistan boxer Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov and Kenichi Ogawa from Japan on Saturday, 10 July in Dubai. The winner is going to face Fuzile probably in August.
